Artist's Description
While traveling in Scotland I was fascinated by all the sheep that were roaming about. With the vivid green hills caught between the puffy white sheep and the puffy white clouds, the landscape was quite whimsical. Added amusement was the expression of the sheep who were wondering what was taking the humans so long to decide which path to go down!
Medium is an open acrylic which I applied on canvas using my fingers. Grass blades, and finer lines were made by dragging the end of the paint tube through the paint.
About Bari Rhys
Bari Rhys is an artist and photographer who works in a variety of styles and mediums. Growing up on a farm raising alpacas, Rhys is often drawn to the beauty in nature and animals. Over the past decade her work has included commissioned animal pastel portraiture, logo and ad design, both commercial and fine art photography, pen and ink drawings, and acrylic painting. While the media and styles cover a broad range, a love of natural, dynamic light, and contrasts frequently influence her work in all areas. In 2017 a wrist injury made gripping painful, and limited her ability to work with a brush or pen.
